Singapore Build Electric Fuel Filling Station

SINGAPORE-It may be that Singapore is the first country in the Asean region which managed to popularize the use of electric cars.

Recently, Singapore has built the first electric recharging stations in the country. Planned until the middle of next year will be built on 26 recharging stations. Total end of next year aka tone that has been established 63 stations.

Filling station has been built it will start to function effectively in May next year. The whole development has been submitted to a German firm, Bosch. In Singapore alone some electric cars are frequently used Mitsubishi electric car, the i-MiEV.

After the first station was completed Land Transport Authority (LTA), The Energy Market Authority (EMA) and several other departments who have been involved will hold a charging test. "We expect the strong support from users of electric cars in Singapore for this test," said Chew Hock Yong, Chairman of the LTA.

To increase the use of electric cars, the Singapore government even gives tax incentives on the reduction of electric cars in Singapore. As a result, Mitsubishi i-MiEV which sold for USD200.000 would fall to USD90.000.
